ZINASU President Mkwananzi Disappears During Masvingo Demos

More than 16 students were arrested today in Masvingo. The students were demonstrating for issues ranging from exorbitant fees being charged by institutions of higher learning in Zimbabwe, students' victimization and the administration bungling at Zimbabwe Secondary Education Certificate Board (ZIMSEC) after the leakages of Ordinary Level English Paper 2 among others. The status of the ZINASU president, Promise Mkwananzi and Secretary General, Beloved Chiweshe is still unknowns they were among the protestors.
Meanwhile, two student leaders at the University of Zimbabwe were picked up by the police in the morning. This follows a demonstration that rocked the college yesterday, which was in solidarity with the striking lecturers.
Clifford Hlatywayo and Lovemore Mutangi were apprehended in connection with the demonstration and distribution of fliers, which were found on campus grounds.
